All students meeting the mentioned criteria for admission (except from the students holding a French Baccalaureate who will follow the APB procedure) can apply to the 1st – 2nd or 3rd Year ECAM Engineering Program via the online Admission Platform.
Application process for students without a French baccalaureate
Your application process depends on your secondary education qualifications and to which year of study you are applying :
- First-year students with a French Baccalaureate must go through the APB process
- First-year students with international secondary education qualification or 2nd and 3rd year applicants must go through the ECAM Lyon Admissions Portal
This guide will outline the process for first-year students with international secondary education qualification or 2nd and 3rd year applicants
The ECAM Lyon Admissions Portal is open from November 15, 2017 to July 10, 2018. If you still want to apply after July 10, 2018, you will need to send your application to firstname.lastname@example.org. Don’t forget to upload your documents such as your résumé, personal statement, transcripts, and any other documents that the portal asks from you.
Interview and Exams
Once our team has accepted your application, we will invite you for an interview either online or on-campus depending on your situation. We tend to ask questions about why you want to be part of the ECAM Lyon family and why you applied to the ECAM Engineering program, so a little research about us goes a long way.
You will also have to take an exam on mathematics and physics. This is so we can verify that you have the level necessary for our program.
We have a rolling admissions process, which means that every month our admissions panel goes through applications to select candidates. We’ll try to inform you of our decision within 10 days of the panel.
We’ll be evaluating applications on:
- January 18, 2018
- February 22, 2018
- March 22, 2018
- April 19, 2018
- May 24, 2018
- June 21, 2018
- July 19, 2018
If you miss the July 19 panel, you can still send your application to email@example.com and we will do our best to consider you for admission.
Candidates who successfully make it through the admissions panel have one last evaluation before they receive an offer of admission. You’ll be evaluated in English on the three following criteria
- Speaking – we’ll give you some conversation topics and you need to film your response
- Listening – a multiple choice questionnaire after listening to a short extract
- Writing – a quick written sample
We use the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages to evaluate language proficiency. You’ll need a minimum level of B2 in English to enroll in ECAM Engineering.
If you have a certification equivalent to a B2 level or higher or if English is your first language, you can skip this step.
Candidates successfully completing the English assessment will receive an offer of admission. We’ll give you a deadline for your response as well as more information about the program the registration process.
