All students meeting the mentioned criteria for admission (except from the students holding a French Baccalaureate who will follow the Parcoursup procedure) can apply to the 1st – 2nd or 3rd Year ECAM Engineering Program via the online Admission Platform.
Students with a French baccalaureate, please go to our French website.
Application process for students without a French baccalaureate
Your application process depends on your secondary education qualifications and to which year of study you are applying :
- First-year students with a French Baccalaureate must go through the Parcoursup process
- First-year students with international secondary education qualification and 2nd and 3rd year applicants must go through the ECAM Lyon Admissions Portal
This guide will outline the process for first-year students with international secondary education qualification or 2nd and 3rd year applicants
Via the admission platform, you will need to complete the application form and upload all the requested documents.
At the same time, you will also invited for an online pre-recorded interview and test.
The exam consists of an interview where you will be given a question followed by a brief moment to prepare your answer. Response times may last a few seconds or a few minutes depending on the question. Some answers will be recorded on video and others will be responses to a multiple-choice.
The purpose of this test is to learn more about you personally and your motivations, as well as to gauge your scientific level.
We have a rolling admissions process, which means that every month our admissions panel goes through applications to select candidates. We will receive an answer within 10 days after the Admission Board.
Admission Board’s dates:
- January 18, 2018
- February 22, 2018
- March 22, 2018
- April 19, 2018
- May 24, 2018
- June 21, 2018
- July 19, 2018
Candidates who successfully make it through the admissions panel will need to prove their English proficiency. An online test will be proposed to the applicants who have not a valid English qualification dating less than 18 months (TOEIC, Cambridge certificate ect.), proving at least a B2 level.
Tests consist of 3 stages in which applicants must provide their answer within a given time limit:
- 5 questions with video answers from applicants
- an audio or video news text with 10 multiple choice questions
- a short writing exercise of 150 words minimum
We use the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages to evaluate language proficiency. A minimum B2 level in English is required to be admitted into the ECAM Engineering program.
Candidates successfully completing the English assessment will receive an admission offer. You will be given a deadline to respond to our offer.
More information on the registration process will be sent afterwards.
